Descrizione delle aree carsiche - L'Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (Vicenza)
L'Altopiano dei Settecomuni (conosciuto più comunemente con il nome Altopiano di Asiago), fra i diversi Gruppi montani prealpini, può essere considerato l'altopiano per eccellenza, a causa dei caratteri e della considerevole estensione delle sue superfici sommitali, delimitate tutt'attorno da ripide scarpate. Nell'area carsica di Lusiana-Conco sono note una cinquantina di cavità e il maggior numero di queste, assieme alla grandiosa e profonda Spaluqa di Lusiana (186 V-VI), é ubicato nel territorio di Lusiana. Nell'area carsica "Conca di Asiago" sono note solamente una trentina di cavità e ciò é legato al fatto che buona parte dell'area é sepolta sotto potenti coperture moreniche. la cavità maggiore di quest'area é il Giacominerloch (59 V-VI). Un'altra importante area carsica é quella del "Versante destra del Brenta", ove sono note circa 80 cavità. Nel territorio di Valstagna si incontrano le grandi sorgenti di Oliero considerate gli esutori principali dell'Altopiano dei Settecomuni. la sorgente maggiore é il Covol dei Siori (600 V-VI). Nelle vicinanze si trova il Covol dei Veci (601 V-VI) costituito da un galleria completamente allagata la cui profondità é di circa sessantacinque metri e che é stata esplorata per oltre 2 chilometri. In totale troviamo comunque oltre 1500 cavità catastate.

Description of karstic areas - Upland Plateau of the Sette Comuni (Vicenza)
From amongst the Prealpine mountain groups, the Upland Plateau of Sette Comuni (known more commonly as the Upland Plateau of Asiago) can be considered a good example because of its type and extensive size, surrounded by steep slopes. In the karstic area of Lusiana-Conco there are about 50 cavities and most of them includinq the imposing, deep Spaluga di Lusiana (86 V-Vlj, are to be found in the territory of Lusiana. In the karstic area "Conca di Asiago" there are only 30, cavities because a larqe part of the area is buried under a thick morainic layer. In this area the biggest cavity is the Giacominerloch (69 V-VI). Another important karstic area is that of the "right slope of the Brenta" where there are about 80 cavities. In Valstagna territory there are the significant Oliero springs which are considered to be the main sources of the Upland Plateau of Sette Comuni. The biggest spring is the Covol dei Siori (1600 V-VI). The Covol dei veci (60l V-vl) is to be found nearby and consists of a large flooded hall of about 60 metres in depth and explored for about 2000 metres. In total, however, more than 1500 cavities have been registered.
